The Victorian government is set to take
70 billion litres of water each year from the Goulburn and Murray Rivers.
This will destroy farming, fishing, towns and turn central Victoria into a desert.
Author, adventurer, wetland advocate and lifelong water-engineer, Steve Posselt, is supporting The Victorian Women's Trust, Friends of the Earth, WaterMark, Plug the Pipe and other key groups to bring attention to this dangerous travesty. He leaves Echuca on August 1.
Find out about Steve's journey down the Darling and Murray Rivers. Read what the local farmers, mayors and townspeople have to say. Follow Steve to the shocking truth at the mouth of the Murray. Help support the journey and get yourself a good read in an important book. |
Why not join Steve on the adventure? He needs people in towns on the route to organise events, contact media and drum up support.
