This was a ponce about for the media day with a 5km paddle down to the river, wait two hours and then slip around the corner onto Noosa beach. The South Easter was blowing at 20 knots so I was glad of the protection from the Noosa headland.

The Sunshine Coast mayor was at the beach, along with channel 7. We had a fruitful conversation about future strategy. Kerry Sorrensen, the surf club president came down to say hello, bought us a beer and a great feed, and we had a great conversation about the changes over the years. Kerry will let us know at some time after his club extensions are finished about a presentation on the trip.
