Day 5 - 16/4/08 - Somerset Dam to Stoney Creek Rd
We had a late start due to an interview with Charles Woolley but still managed 38km – 3km around the dam wall, 23km paddling, 12km walking after the top of the lake.
There is not much to report, just a lake and some roads.
Passing through left over dead trees standing in Lake Somerset I had a very strange feeling that I can’t describe. I am not sure whether it was even something from the past and what the land was, or a premonition of what the future may hold for coastal lands. Whatever it was it was quite powerful and was only in one area. I think I might save the details for a book.
