Day sixteen - Suddenly, it's over

Day 15What a day; with gale force winds, cold rain running off my jacket and slowly filling the seat, it was only the hardy souls who turned up at the end. But it was great to see some of the people who we had met on the way.

Thanks to all of those who supported us. I don't know how much difference we have made but we are certainly chipping away at the madness. Now we are off to the lower Murray area to tie it all together for the doco.

It has been a really solid two weeks. The pace was fast and furious so my body is sore, but strong. I can achieve 9.6km/hr on flat water for a number of minutes which is better than ever been able to do. It must have been all that desperation type paddling when I was just able to inch forwards against the current.

We met some great people on the way. Giovanni, Jim and Tony are all a lot richer from the experience and most of that is the people we met.

Obviously the trip would not have been possible without these three blokes so I am really pleased that they count it as a valuable experience. Thanks for everything you have done guys.

This will be the last daily log but the web site will be updated from time to time about the issues and I will certainly write something that will leave no doubt as to where I think we are headed.
